NCUK International foundation Year (IFY)
The International Foundation Year (IFY) programme prepares students for study at undergraduate degree level in NCUK Partner Universities. Partner universities recognise the course as meeting their entry requirements for international students and NCUK guarantees students who successfully complete the IFY a place on a degree course in their chosen subject of study. NCUK Graduate Diploma / Pre Master Programme (PMP)
NCUK Graduate Diploma / Pre Masters Programme (PMP) is a full time programme for students who hold a 3 year or 4 year Diploma from an International University or recognized College. Belfast Metropolitan College is in partnership with the Northern Consortium UK (NCUK, a consortium with over 30 partner universities). It provides a bridge between the education systems of the student's home country and those of the UK and Ireland. It prepares graduate students with the skills required for a masters programme at one of the NCUK Partner Universities. Learn more

English Courses
Belfast Metropolitan College offers a wide range of ESOL Intensive English courses (full time) at different levels to International students. For Tier 4 Student Visa, the minimum English level entry requirement is CEFR B1 (about IELTS 4.5). For Students Visitor visa route or EU students, students can begin from Basic level. The college also runs IELTS classes (Part time)

Students can join in September, January, June, July. Each course runs for 15 to 18 weeks including an induction. Learn more


GCE 'A' Levels
'A' Levels are recognised worldwide as being of the highest standard and are accepted by Universities for entry to degree programmes. Belfast Met offers a range of 'A' levels ranging from Accounts to Sociology. They are available full-time and part-time for one or two years study. Learn more

Higher National Diplomas (HNDs) are valuable higher level qualifications which can lead to employment or a university degree. HNDs are very practical two year programmes which contain an element of work experience and HND graduates can transfer into the second year or third year of a university degree course. Learn more


Foundation Degrees
Foundation degrees are developed along with employers and universities so that you gain the relevant skills for today's workforce. On successful completion you may progress to a variety of degree courses or directly into employment. Foundation degrees incorporate a period of work-based learning in a relevant industry, often up to six months. Learn more


Degrees
Belfast Metropolitan College offers some University Honours Degrees. These degrees have been franchised from the University of Ulster and Manchester Metropolitan University. These degree courses are a successful pathway from a Higher National Diploma. Learn more
